EDIT: It was brought to my attention by a few different people that the lion looks a lot like Skottie Young's version of the lion in in Marvel's comic adaptations...
I searched Google and it's true. It's a lot like it. A lot. And though I never read or owned the books, I remember seeing this picture sometime before.
I think I did copy it from memory. Ugh. Not the first time, though it's the first time with a whole character.
So I went and tried to change the lion. But the results didn't please me much because I don't have much freedom to change only that part of the picture without changing the rest too much.
So, since most of those people who pointed that out to me said not to worry too much, I decided to leave it as is for now...
So if you like the lion, go thank Skottie Young for that base design o/ And this picture is now a tribute to his Oz comics, that I didn't read, but now want to read.
